HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN FAJITAS ?

1. Marinate the Chicken:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the sliced chicken to the marinade, tossing to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for extra flavor.
2. Cook the Chicken:
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and cook the chicken in batches for 4-5 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and lightly charred. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
3. Sauté the Vegetables:
  • In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the bell peppers and onion. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender and slightly caramelized.
4. Assemble the Fajitas:
  • Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave.
  • Fill each tortilla with the cooked chicken and sautéed vegetables. Add your favorite toppings such as fresh cilantro, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, or shredded cheese.
5. Serve:
  • Serve the chicken fajitas hot, with extra lime wedges on the side for a fresh burst of citrus flavor.
