    • Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • For the Ricotta Layer:
    • 15 oz ricotta cheese
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 large egg
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or basil, chopped
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Lasagna Layers:
    • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked according to package instructions)
    • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish (optional)

HOW TO MAKE LASAGNA RECIPE ?

1. Prepare the Meat Sauce:
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and Italian sausage (if using) and cook until browned, breaking the meat up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
